UEN Annual Meeting/Dinner

Members of the UEN gather each November to hear about the organization's legislative platform and ensure members are well-prepared to express and share urban priorities. Advocacy resources and tools are shared and members hear a preview of the upcoming legislative session. Small group discussions and networking will take place as well.

 

UEN Annual Dinner - November 19, 2025 (6 - 8:30 PM), Hilton Des Moines Downtown

The 2025 UEN Annual Dinner will take place on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, beginning at 6 pm, at the Hilton Des Moines Downtown, 435 Park Street, Des Moines, Iowa, 50309 (during the IASB Convention). UEN member district board members and administrators are encouraged to attend for networking and to learn more about the UEN 2026 Legislative Priorities at this annual banquet. For questions, contact Jen Albers.

  • Registration open to UEN Member District Superintendents, Board Members, Business Managers, District Leaders, and others upon invitation.

  • Board Secretaries, if you are registering multiple people or your entire board at once, just email Jen Albers each attendee's name, title, email address, and any dietary restrictions (instead of using the standard registration form).
  • Note: We remind all attendees to guard against deliberation or decision-making. However, if a quorum of your board members attends and chooses to sit together, discussions might appear to be or might become a violation of the State’s open meetings law, if seeking information morphs into deliberation/decision-making, unless the UEN Annual Dinner/Meeting is posted and accessible to the public.
